The review will produce a final report and executive summary, supported by analysis and an evidence framework that partners can use and update.

The final report is scheduled for publication after the Mayoral election in May 2027.

Independent Economic Review gets underway

Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority has appointed Metro Dynamics, working with Cambridge Econometrics and Arcadis, to deliver an independent review of the area’s economy.

The review will bring together existing evidence, economic forecasts and detailed research to assess Cheshire and Warrington’s strengths, challenges and future opportunities. An independent panel will provide scrutiny and specialist insight throughout the work.

The final report will provide the incoming Mayor and local partners with a shared evidence base for future policy and investment decisions.
