Bringing local knowledge into the review

A strong economic assessment needs both rigorous analysis and an understanding of how the economy works in practice.

Businesses, local authorities, education and skills providers, community organisations and other partners hold knowledge that can help the review team interpret the evidence and test its conclusions.

Engagement will focus on understanding the issues behind the data and testing emerging findings across the four research areas.

How engagement will work

The review team will use interviews and workshops to explore the evidence with stakeholders. These discussions will help identify connections between issues and examine the practical implications of different choices.

Relevant research and evidence

Existing strategies, studies and data from the three local authorities and partner organisations will inform the review. Relevant findings from other commissions will also feed into the analysis.
